Heat Transfer Printing
Heat Transfer Printing or Digital Transfer produces excellent results in an array of colours. It is widely used for fabric design for clothing wear like t-shirts,
aprons, caps and for accessories like promotional carrier bags. The technique is also suitable for non-fabric items such as plates, mugs and more.
The process begins with a digital image being transferred onto a vinyl surface – vinyl is a synthetic resin or plastic substance.
We then position the vinyl base on the product and put these inside the heat press. The transference – printing process- happens when the heat melts the portion of the vinyl containing the print and this gets fixed onto the fabric.
We suggest heat printing for patterned prints and special effects. Only white vinyl is used meaning white prints are not an option. Metallic colour prints are not offered with heat printing either. High volume prints are possible when automatic transfer presses are used.
